SUMMER CAMPS

All camp sessions run Monday through Friday.
Grandview is keen on keeping the young camper busy, with safe, enjoyable and exciting activities throughout their week, Grandview campers leave everyday with smiles on their faces. Please visit our Fees and Schedules for more information.

Riding

Each day the campers receive an English riding lesson taught by experienced staff and trainers. The basic skills of horsemanship and riding are taught to those just beginning their riding endeavors. More advanced lessons are taught to those students with previous riding experience. The staff of Grandview strives to create a riding experience appropriate to each camper’s abilities. Beginner to advanced, Grandview offers great riding experiences. On our last day of camp, we take our campers for a trail ride through the property.

Theory Lesson/Practical Horsemanship

Along with learning to ride comes the knowledge and responsibility needed to take care of your horse or pony well. Campers receive daily theory lessons that include areas of horsemanship such as proper grooming, stable management, feeding your horse, and preparing for a show!

Arts and Crafts

Campers receive great crafts to complete throughout the week. These arts and crafts are wonderful mementos of their time spent at horse camp. Crafts are made in our arts and craft room located in the main horse barn.

Swimming

Grandview is proud to have in ground swimming pool facilities. Each day campers can swim in the supervised pool, practice their skills on the volley ball court, take part in games or participate in all of these activities! Grandview offers a certified lifeguard to keep our afternoons safe and enjoyable.

Winter Camps

Grandview Winter horse camp runs for only one week during each winter break, which makes it a perfect Christmas present under the tree!

Winter campers will enjoy daily riding lessons in our indoor arena, crafts in our heated viewing lounge, games and movies in our media room and learn all about horses in and around the barn. Afternoons are filled with fun activities such as tobogganing, games in the snow and hikes in search of maple syrup! It’s a great way to spend Christmas holidays before school starts again!

Please visit our Fees and Schedules for more information.

Campers will enjoy horseback riding everyday, either in the convenience of our indoor arena, or in one of our various outdoor riding rings. The rest of the day will be filled with crafts, games, horse theory, nature walks and much more!

Please visit our Fees and Schedules for more information.

The Grandview Crew

Grandview is very proud to have fun, experienced, and energetic counselors. Each one is very committed to their job and has many years of experience with both horses and children. Every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of each child. Some of the programs which the counselors have completed include first aid and CPR training. We also have a certified lifeguard to supervise our afternoon swimming activities.

Our counselors ensure a safe and enjoyable experience at camp. They are devoted to helping others and take pleasure in watching the children progress over the week and summer. As avid equestrians, whom all have horses at Grandview, they share the same love for horses as the campers. They have the ability to teach a wide range of skills to campers from all different horse backgrounds, ensuring a positive experience for all.
